South Korea Recruit The Genius Computer to Fight Hackers North



SEOUL - South Korea (ROK) has built an "army" special genius in the field of computers against cyber attacks from hackers North Korea (Korea).

Intelligence Agency and the Defense Ministry of South Korea held a competition to recruit people who are geniuses in the field of computers, including high school students.

According to The Washington Post, winner of the contest in the competition will get $ 60 thousand in the form of a cash prize. Winners will be evaluated as well if they are applying to be part of the intelligence agencies in the South.

"They will get preferential treatment when they apply for a job in intelligence or police, and those who are younger can work in a cyber command center during military service," the media wrote in a report that was launched on Monday (10/26/2015).

In the early rounds of the competition, those geniuses in the field of computer use their expertise into "white hats" in charge fend off cyber attacks from hackers enemy called "black hats".

About 16 teams reached the final on Wednesday (10/21/2015) then. An official of the Ministry of Defence, Kim Nam-soo, membernakan the competition.

"It's like taekwondo If you learn over the years and you have the skills, you can become a gangster. But if you are trained in a different way, you can use your skills for good purposes. It's the same with these people. If we raise them as hackers 'white hats', they can help the government, "he said.

"Their job is to find out there is malware or not and then try to stop it," said Kim Nam-soo.
A 16-year-old high school student, Lee Kyung-won, claimed to be interested in the competition was to defend his country. "I think about how I will defend (country) we are against an attack from North Korea," he said.
