Host Asian Games, KOI Open Volunteer Opportunities


Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) in need of additional power in the Asian Games 2018. Starting in October 2015, KOI will open a 35,000 vacancies to be volunteers who will work at the Asian Games.

KOI chairman, Rita Subowo, stating the vacancy will initially be prioritized for the athletes and coaches in Indonesia. KOI will coordinate with the Executive Board (PB) of each sport in order to recruit volunteers for the Asian Games.

Not all athletes and coaches could qualify as a volunteer at the Asian Games. They also have to follow a series of tests held by the selection committee.

Thereafter, candidates who pass the course will be given in English by KOI. "It's an opportunity. Who else if not the perpetrator manages sports sport itself," said Rita when found in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 2, 2015.

After recruit volunteers from among athletes and coaches, will KOI new openings for the public. KOI confirmed that it will recruit volunteers from the public.

"We will recruit volunteers from all areas. We can not rely on cooperation with the academic community just wide LIA, UI, and UNJ. It should be disseminated. Next month we have started recruitment," said Rita.
